- Bleak overall outlook remains, continuing to push markets lower this morning
- Hope for another week of strong exports (released tomorrow) or some weather concern to get some strength back into the markets
- China reported March soybean imports at 4.28 MMT – this is the lowest single month since February 2015
- largely due to slower demand and delays in Brazilian shipments
- Overall still Jan-March 2020 soybean imports are at 17.8 MMT up 6% from the same period last year
- Expectations for shipments to pick up again in April with beans on their way from Brazil
- On Sunday one of the largest pork slaughter houses in the U.S. shut down due to coronavirus spreading through the workers – more processing plants for both port and beef are following suit
- no dates for re opening the plants have been given yet
