• This is the danger and frustration of this type of market – in the first 3 weeks of January we saw days where “the news all remains the same” but we were seeing double digit gains in the market – this week we see “the news all remains the same” but double digit losses 
  • Just as speculators push us up higher than we need to be – they pull us down – this week some decided they gained enough money to sell some of their position and take some profit, then more sold, then all the sudden we see double digit losses for these spec funds taking profits 
• Weekly export sales numbers were very strong – above expectations for corn and soybeans
