Market Update – January 25, 2022
- Wheat continues to lead the markets higher with double digit gains to start the day off
- Overall the market place has a much more “bullish” sentiment than we had a week ago
- U.S. corn and soybean exports seem to be picking up pace
- Uncertainty in Russia and Ukraine – huge competitors in the global corn and wheat export market leading to further optimism for the North American crops
- Declining winter wheat conditions ratings in the U.S. has added fuel to the wheat market this morning as well – Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Texas all saw a decrease in condition
- Corn also forging 6+ month highs as we are sitting just off 7 year highs in the crude market
