  • Another day of war, another day of uncertainty in the markets, corn and soybeans continue to float towards highs as wheat seems to have found an equilibrium for the moment 
  • Private analyst UkrAgroConsult has updated their estimates for 2022 Ukrainian planting
    • Corn acres down 29% from last year
    • Sunflower acres down 48% from last year 
    • Barley down 29%, spring wheat, canola and soybeans down 10%
      • All fairly in line with Informas overall estimate of a 33% loss in planted acres 
  • Informa updated their estimates for U.S. 2022 planting
    • Corn at 91.4 million acres – down from 93.4 million in 2021
    • Soybeans at 88.6 million acres – up from 87.2 million in 2021
