  • The corn and wheat markets start the day in the red again, beans are trading flat.
    • March corn futures posted its lowest trade in two weeks yesterday, losing 8 cents per bushel yesterday.
    • March soybean futures lost 10 cents/bu yesterday but is still trading within there recent trading range
    • March wheat futures dropped 10-12 cents/bu yesterday. 
  • Brazilian foreign trade data released yesterday showed soybean exports during the first three weeks of February at 3.7million tonnes, that is down 29% from the same time period last year. 
  • Argentina saw some isolated but heavy rains in the central corn and soybean areas yesterday. Coverage will build through Saturday in the heart of the country. Brazil saw rains from the north to south over the past 24 hours.
  • Export inspections
    • Corn, beans, and wheat are still ahead of the paces needed to meet USDA expectations. Corn, beans, and wheat inspections all came within expectations. 
  • President Trump said yesterday that he plans to go ahead with the tariffs on Canada and Mexico, US officials indicated that the details surrounding the tariffs were still being decided.
