- Grain markets are mixed this morning.
- WHEAT:
- Strong winds are hitting portions of the US Plains winter wheat belt today.
- SOYBEANS:
- Brazils increasing soybean output continues to keep the markets well supplied and prices in check.
- CORN:
- Weather risks are rising globally for corn although its still early for those concerns to be defined by the market. It seems as those gains in corn are being limited over fears of a shift in planting intentions. The USDAs farmer planting intentions survey will be released on March 31st.
- S&P Global Commodity insights raised its forecast for US corn acres to 94.3million acres, this is an 800,000 increase in acres from Januarys forecast.
- To put things in perspective US farmers planted 90.6million acres of corn last season. Some traders are expecting north of 95 million corn acres this year.
