- The grain market is mixed this morning.
- The nearby corn contract rose for the fourth consectuive session on Thursday, trading lower this morning.
- Export sales
- New crop wheat sales were the highlight of the report, coming in well above expecations. Old crop wheat saw some cancellations but was within expecations.
- Corn sales were good for the week, meeting expecations, selling 46.9mbu of old crop and 8.6mbu of new crop.
- Soybean sales were slightly above expecations at 11.3mbu, Mexico was the top buyer of old crop beans for the week.
- President Trump has tweeted that he recommends a straight 50% tarfiff on the European Union, starting June 1, 2025. He wrote that their current conversations were going no where.
- US Areas Experiencing Drought
- Much of the corn belt recevied rainfall last week, but conditions saw only limted improvement.
