• Snobelen Farms office will be closed Monday May 18th for the Victoria Day long weekend however markets will be open 
• It is estimated that 72% of Ontario’s corn crop has been planted 
  • Compared to the same date last year when only 6% of the crop was in the ground
• Ontario’s soybean crop is estimated at 15% planted
• Argentine harvest coming in 87% complete for soybeans and 40% complete for corn 
• Informa has updated their acreage estimates for the U.S. for 2020 now pegging corn at 94.2 million acres compared to USDA’s 97 million and beans at 85.9 million opposed to USDAs 83.5 million
• Some dry weather concerns resurfacing today helping give some excuse for a bump in the markets or at least keep us from testing lows 
  • Europe concerned with dryness as well as Brazils safrinha corn crop
